Idil Biret Education Initiative

Idil Biret Education Initiative is a Pennsylvania 501(c)(3) educational non-profit. Our Mission: Preserve, publish, and promote the legacy of renowned Turkish classical pianist Idil Biret; educate the world about the cultural values expressed by Idil Biret in her life and music.

Our three program areas include
1) Developing a public-access Idil Biret digital archive in cooperation with the Idil Biret Museum in Istanbul;
2) Providing grants supporting music and the arts;
3) Publishing the Maestro Collection of books and media about literature, art, music, or other topics that communicate the humanist values of Idil Biret, with a focus on musicians, artists, and authors who are masters of their craft, yet under-recognized.
